A 12-member delegation from the Church in China is paying a visit to the churches in Germany from May 13 to June 10, 2007, under the invitation by the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD).

The visit aims to promote exchanges of the grassroots churches of the two countries since most of the members are from Chinese grassroots churches and theological seminaries. Led by Rev. Mei Kangjun, Executive Associate General Secretary of the National Committee of TSPM, other members are from Henan, Fujian, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Shanghai, Tianjin, Gansu and Liaoning provinces, etc.

During their month-long trip in Germany, they will visit local churches in Hamburger, Berlin, Essen and Cologne to know about various ministries of the German grassroots churches, and share with German pastors and colleagues to promote fellowship and enhance friendship. At the same time, they will participate in the social projects to have a comprehensive knowledge of the German society.

In Cologne , the delegation will attend activities in German Protestant Kirchentag, and join in the Chinese delegation for Bible Ministries Exhibition to help preparatory and work for the Exhibition at Kirchentag.
