May 4th of 2006 is the last day of the Bible Ministry
Exhibition of the Church in China held in LA. About 1, 000
people visited the last Exhibition in LA. The total amount
of visitors is over 7, 000.
At 6:00pm, an appreciation dinner was held in the Art Gallery
of Crystal Cathedral. It was originally planned by CCC/TSPM
to express its gratitude to Southern California Hosting
Committee, yet our friends in the committee also would like
to thank CCC delegation for bring such a wonderful exhibition
to USA. Mr. Fred Messick, one of the Co-Chairs of the hosting
committee and Rev. Bao Jiayuan were moderators of the dinner.
Rev. Robert H. Schuller had a bad cold
with hoarse throat, yet he still came with Mrs. Schuller
and also delivered a warm speech. He thanked us for bringing
such an unforgettable exhibition to Crystal Cathedral and
would always keep his love for China and Chinese churches.
CCC/TSPM presented an album with the photos shot during
this Bible Ministry Exhibition and also a specially painted
Chinese painting by famous Chinese painter Mr. He Niu. Rev.
Schuller and Mrs. Schuller enjoyed the presents very much.
In this exhibition, Mr. He Niu drew paintings voluntarily
for the visitors, and all the donation to his paintings
was also presented to Crystal Cathedral to show Chinese
Christians¡¯ kindness towards American churches.
After the appreciation dinner, the final musical performance
of the Exhibition in LA is held in the exhibition site.
Rev. Gene Wood, another Chairperson of the Southern California
Hosting Committee said that it was not easy for different
local churches to cooperate with each other. People in USA
or China all thought it impossible to host such an exhibition,
yet we made it. In the end, all people present at the closing
event prayed with thanksgiving.
The Exhibition closed with reviewing the success, saying
goodbye and taking pictures. CCC/TSPM delegation and the
whole working team will depart for San Francisco to visit
the churches there on May 6th. The Bible Ministry Exhibition
of the Church in China will be held in Atlanta on May 19th.
