Love and Affection for Disaster Victims
December 1,2005 Contributed by Jane Wan

Due to natural disasters such as floods, hurricanes and hail storms, residents of some Chinese regions are suffering from a shortage of clothes, quilts, grain and many other goods; a shortage that will make it difficult for them to survive the winter.

On December 21st, 2005, during the pre-Christmas morning worship of the CCC/TSPM staff, a donation was organized by staff members to show their love and affection for the disaster victims.

Although it was cold outside, people¡¯s hearts were warm. Keeping Scripture deep in their hearts, staff members knew that ¡°It is more blessed to give than to receive¡±. Through offering a helping hand, staff members expressed their solidarity for those in need.

The donation was presided over by Rev. Cao Shengjie, President of the CCC. Staff members of the CCC/TSPM made contributions which amounted to 3,476 Yuan. The money was sent to the Donation Acceptance Office of the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Civil Affairs in support of a campaign to ¡°warm people¡¯s hearts this winter¡±.
