Churches are endowed with the nature of ecumenicity
and locality. Chinese churches are independent and self-run
churches abiding ¡°Three-Self¡±Principle under the guidance
of the Holy Spirit. In the light of the principle of openness,
equity and legality, Chinese churches are willing to establish
and develop fellowship in Christ with overseas churches on
the basis of mutual understanding, equality, extensive communication
and sharing.

From 2002 to 2004, with the joint efforts
of all the personnel of the Overseas Relations Department,
CCC/TSPM received 90 delegations from churches all over the
world with up to 836 person-times. Among them are delegations
such as Delegation of World Council of Churches, Delegation
of the Council of EKD, Delegation of CTBI, Delegation of Finnish
Bible Society and Delegation of National Christian Council
in Japan, etc. In the past two years, CCC/TSPM have also sent
about 42 groups which amounted to 201 person-times to visit
churches overseas. In 2002, a delegation was sent to visit
churches in Hong Kong and Macao, in spring of 2003, a delegation
visited European churches, and in autumn of the same year,
a delegation visited churches in North America.
