How can the messages of the Christian gospel be expressed through art? This is an issue that the Chinese Church has been probing in recent decades. Many Christians in the Chinese mainland have made repeated attempts to indigenize Christian artistic creation. Using Bible stories as themes, they delicately and vividly express the meaning of the gospel using a variety of traditional Chinese and other art forms. At the same time, applying the beauty of art in practice, they demonstrate their deep love of the Bible through efforts to enable more people to share the blessings of the gospel.
